I think this has been different than many other times when it's someone who's famous but at an age that it's not so unexpected. This seemed so out of the blue, I did a double take when I first saw a headline about it, I thought, that can't be right... I don't remember having read anything about his health problems recently.

It's a sad loss, hopefully some people will become more enlightened as this probably will lead to more talk and awareness about depression; I don't know if it's possible to know what it's like. I have a former co-worker whose husband battled depression and then took his own life leaving her and their twin little girls. My condolences would go out to the family.
