Rookie - Needs Critique

Hi All,

I am looking for critiques either good or bad on these two photo's. I am new at this 2 weeks of experience lol, but I am loving it. I am using a Canon Rebel SL1 and editing in Elements 12.

That's tough work shooting through those branches on the Canada Geese. Maybe try different angles next time and looking down from that height is a little unusual, still a good shot though in the techie department. Focus is where it should be and its the sort of light I like to shoot in. The floral shot is darn good, fills the frame nicely for my taste and good details and colours. Just watch the highlights in the whites. Our eyes always seem to go for blown highlights and take away from what should be the main subject. Its not too harsh though and should be easy to fix cutting back in the highlights a little. Probably nit picking though, because it a good shot.

I have a ton of shots in the brush, just keep shooting and you will get them in the open. I can say that I will shoot 100 or more pictures when I go out and keep just a handful. Best of all go out and have fun being around nature and the wildlife.
