Totally get your drift. From an 'across the pond' perspective allowing people who argue with passion, belief and frankly an FU attitude to carry a weapon that only has the distinct and definable function of killing people into a packed city centre in the name of your individual right to personal safety is paranoia bordering on lunacy.

I would point out that "Across The Pond" perspectives were the primary reason for the Revolutionary War. We decided that far back that your perspectives were not necessarily how we chose to live our lives.
