Rough-legged Hawk

It was nice yesterday afternoon, so I took a drive down to the Nanaimo river estuary. According to a couple of fellow bird photographers, this hawk was recently released from a rescue centre.
Unfortunately I missed two opportunities for in-flight shots.

Thanks. In the winter the sun is almost always low enough in the sky for reasonable light.
