Before I got the mandatory evacuation order Sunday morning, I made a quick walk through my favorite spot. The ospreys had headed out, but I found this Red Tail hawk. I hope everyone and their families are safe through this horrific storm. C&C welcome.

CC - great shot. I do hope all the folks (and birds) in the east - US and Canada - are safe as the storm roars through that part of the world.

WOW!!! That's a great shot! The RTs in my area are only around early in the morning before the light is good enough for me to get any sort of quality shot.

I had a mandatory evacuation order. I know where I took this picture is currently under a few feet of water... Hoping to go home tomorrow and find some birds and some possibly record some of the post flood damage. Thanks for your kind words!

Are you guys OK?

I was happy to arrive home with no damage no power though. The coast here in old saybrook got hammered and there is a good amount of damage. Poor NYC though will take a long time to recover..
my trail got flooded heavily and there are many downed trees but it is still accessible now that the tides are finally receding.

Good. I'm in Seymour and no power either lol. NYC and Atlantic city look crazy.

Glad you and yours are safe and sound!
Gorgeous shot, love it.

Great photograph and good to know that things are relatively okay with you guys.

Glad to hear you are okay - nothing "broken/damaged" that cannot be fixed.
