Self portrait revisited, keeping both arms in & shooting from the waist. I also used a wider lens this time, a 28mm. Unfortunately, I was late getting out & the sun was casting a shorter shadow than I would have liked.

Looks like a good shot to me ..... but where is the beard ?

Knowing you, this is extremely fitting! Often times people photograph their shadows and think "Awesome! Its me but in shadow!" - which is anything but awesome. This is because their shadow is not as unique, and in the end becomes cliche. I think this works excellently for you however! I really like the simplicity of the photo, and I agree a longer shadow would probably be better, maybe a take 3 is in order?

I think this is still a very good photo, the only complaint would be that I think the contrast could be a touch stronger in the image.

That shadow gives me nightmare :lmao:

Only the shadow knows.

You know, Ron, if you get out relatively early, before the sun has burned the dew off the grass, then you could also get a "halo" effect around the head from the sun rays reflected off the dew... Not that I think you have a "holier-than-thou" attitude, but it could add another layer of implied meaning to that image...

jeepers kreepers!

I like it. Like Shmne said maybe try a little more contrast. Make it darker and more sinister.

This is simply a duplicate of the photo with a multiply layer over it. I know that is probably not the "best way" to do it. However it made it look the way I liked.

Thanks guys.

I use Lightroom & I did boost the contrast & upped the black - maybe not enough though. There is still dew on the grass but no halo.
