Second back D100 v D70

I need a second digital back, Nikon.

Would really like another D200 but it just is out of my budget.

In order to keep card/lens costs down and swappable items I'm thinking either a D70 or D100.

I have located a second hand version of both at £250

Any thoughts on them and what one would be better?

I shoot with a D100, and with the exception of it's flash performance I think that it is a perfectly good camera. The D70 is a little better performance wise, but the build quality isn't even comparable. Because the D100 shares memory with the D200, and is better built it would be my preference for a backup. When I upgrade to a D200 I will be keeping my D100 for sure.

I also use a D100 and have had no problems. Would highly recommend it!

I would choose the D100 unless multiple TTL flash is a must for you. The D100 is a more robust body than the D70 and IMO more capable, the flash system being it's only shortcoming. Either will be a little noisier than your D200, but as a B/U body I wouldn't think it to be an issue.
