This is one of the better self portraits Ive seen lately. Interesting treatment. The shadows work well here, and the iris is nice and sharp. Also, it has so much feeling and emotion.

I agree, I keep getting drawn to the dark spot. I wish I could see your other eye, even if just a little bit. The darkness takes away from an otherwise good portrait. Nice composition and processing, just a tad more detail in the shadows and it would be perfect!
