What's new

Self portriat

It's "okay"...to be honest, I am not and never have been a fan of split lighting, where one half of the face in in light, the other half is in shade. WHy? Split lighting usually creates asymmetry...one side of the face looks bright, the other dark. One eye has big catchlights, the other has a pinpoint catchlight. Symmetry of the face is one of the subliminal things that makes people look attractive. The more-symmetrical a face, the more attractive a person is. This is basically split lighting, and, well...it's something that I do not like. It creates one dimpled side, one without, and one wide side of the face, and one narrow side of the face. I just never have liked split lighting, especially on female faces.
Thanks for the honest words. I agree with all your thoughts. Oddly enough, I've never been a fan of split lighting either so I've never bothered to use it, but what's a girl to do when she can't find her power cords and she needs to play with photoshop? :giggle: try try and try again I suppose.

Wait, attractive female, likes photography, intelligent sense of humor - be still my heart.
How lucky your significant other is.

 thanks Lew.

But trust me when I say, I'm definitely the lucky one in our duo.

Even if you actually think that, don't let your partner know. I told that to all of my wives, even when I didn't believe it, and I suffered for it.

I guess it will just be our little secret then. ;-)

I like the photo, you have a gorgeous face but I think it would of looked better of you were not hunching over. The crop fixes that all up though, but nice picture :)
