Selfshots of a VERY specific part of ME.

None of my family wanted to model for me so I had to shoot my own eye. Luckily I got a wired trigger for Xmas so that made it easier, but it was still really hard. All shot with the 50mm f1.8 with extension tubes attached.

A little selective dodging in the whites maybe?
I sharpened the irises (irii?) a lot already. To me they look pretty good.

I don't know how close you can focus with a kit lens, but I suppose if you got as close as possible and then cropped you could get something close? These have almost no crop at all on them.

You could do it with a dedicated macro lens or a reverse mounting setup I would think, but extension tubes are cheap...this was shot with this $50 set:
