hi I live in virginia and I would like to sell my photos and any help I can get would be nice, such as people I could talk to or things I can do to sell em thank you

stock sites are a way to sell your pictures. and a website to advertise your work...

Your request is slightly confusing.

Are you saying you don't want to use stock images, or that you don't want to sell your photos as stock images?

I assume:
- That you are wishing to sell your photographs as "works of art"
- You do not want to sell your services as a photographer
- You are selling completed photographs / photomanipulation images
- These images bare no association with your intended target audience/consumers

The only thing I can suggest is join up to Deviant Art (www.deviantart.com), set up a premium account with printing services and market yourself that way.

Unfortunately though, the market for those kind of images is very small and specialised. You are relying on someone stumbling onto your work, and liking it so much that they would like to pay money for it as a poster, or framed picture for their room or house.

I wish you the best luck in the world, but I would strongly suggest expanding your subject matter if you are looking to attempt to sell your images to more than perhaps one person a year (yes, sales for those kinds of things is that low).
