Sensor Cleaning

Hi all,

I have a Canon 300D, that has a fairly dirty sensor, I would like to clean it myself...... but it sounds so dangerous, any advise? all help is very appreciated.

It's actually quite straightforward, sensors are tougher than you think but first are you sure it's dirty, are the dirt spots showing on images?
Before cleaning, make sure the battery is fully charged before setting the camera to sensor cleaning mode. This stops the mirror clattering down while you are cleaning.
First of all try a blower, I use the Giottos rocket blower and have never had to use anything else.
If that doesn't work, try any of the proprietory cleaning kits.

Yea, I have noticed dirt in my pics. I think I'll try the blower, and let you know if it helps. Thank you for your help.
