I like it. Kinda wish the boat were a bit further to the...well, I was about to say the left, but I was staring at it a bit more while typing and now I want to change it to the right, just above the shortest post. I think the placement of the boat right above the tallest post, which are both slightly left of center, make it a tiny bit unbalanced. I still like it, though.

Yeah I agree with limr.
And besides making the shot more balanced I think that would also make the boat a little more prominent. The boat is very mid-toney and kind of fades in comparison with the very contrasted posts. So it could use some increased visibility.

But in general I quite like the idea. You get a strong sense of near and far from the composition, which is a fitting dimension what with the subject being a boat and sailing away...
