Suit yourself, but I would have said: "than the opposite".

But Mr. Mandela did not ask me to proof his remarks.

He missed out there. I have no real problem with the quote, it's what it is. It's the stray apostrophe that brings out the grammar Nazi in me. I doubt if Mr Mandela put it there no matter what his first language was.

As for the photos ... an excellent set!
