So tonight I took my 55-250mm lens out to play around with different night shots, and I figured I would share this one since it is the best one I've taken. Any suggestions to make a better shot?

It's very blurry. And half of it is missing... :greenpbl:

But agreed, it is quite blurry! But it just takes practice and you weren't too far off from a great shot!

I'm no expert but I'd use manual focus and the timer option on this shot to reduce vibration, if you don't have a remote.

Oh yeah, 1/2 of it is missing in case you didn't notice. :D

That's what I usually do for shooting moon.

- If you have a tripod, use it. (make sure IS/VR/OS/VC turn off unless you have a high end lens that knows the camera/lens is on the tripod)
- If you do not have a tripod but the lens is a IS/VR/OS/VC type lens use it. (Or if your camera already has image stabilizer build-in)
- Set to Manual mode and use f/8, ISO at 100 and then shutter speed from 1/60 - 1/125 (+ or - 1 stop, depends on where the moon is and full, half or crescent)
- If on tripod, use remote shutter release to take the shot. (autofocus or manual focus with liveview)
- Review the photos and adjust the shutter speed if needed.

Thanks for the tips guys. Tonight was the first night I have taken the lens out, I'll try these suggestions tomorrow night and see what I come up with.
