shooting a band

Hi--I just got asked to take some pictures of a local band at a bar. I have a D3000 and an SB600 will this work to shoot in a bar?? THANKS!

might ask to see if flash photography is allowed in the bar.

you might want a lens too

Fast lens would help.

I just did this last weekend first time.
I shot 800 ISO with somewhere between 1/100-200 and kept it on auto white balance.

I lied 1/80 shutter oh and also F/1.8
