A local magazine is doing a casting call for the cover picture, so I was contacted by a local Ms. Escambia County (going on for Ms. Florida) to shoot her!
I need some ideas!

Congrats on the shoot! Do you have a studio, does she want a location shoot, tell us what you are thinking about doing.

The beginners forum has the most activity from the pro's and beginners. Who'se to say a beginner can't have a fabulous creative idea. When is the shoot and where? Studio or outdoors. Time of shoot etc.

Magazines usually shoot months in advance of publication, what season is the cover for? If going for winter....I would think about crisp snow in the moonlight, ( those kinds of settings and colors) If it's for spring or summer then I would think soft and warm. Just throwing this out....don't know what you have to work with!

well I'm in Florida and even though the low tonight will be 25, I am assuming they want a Florida style cover.
We are going downtown, with a few different ideas.
The magazine publishes an annual wedding issue, I'm not sure when it comes out.

I think in this beginners forum there are some awesome photographers...

Glass front office building to show her reflection is one I am going to try this summer. Bridge over water type stuff or more high fashion?

I like Dee's downtown glass front reflection idea, add in a horse drawn carriage....I would like to play with that!

more high fashion.
She came up with the idea of HUGE red balloons, with some red heels, there is an old fashioned firetruck infront of a popular club, really great walkways.

Oh yeah, the red heels and a firetruck....like it!!
