Yep Forkie the D300s can take it. Tho the weak point would be the lens mount if not using weather sealed lenses which the majority of nikon lenses are not. Outstanding images you have on flickr there. And keep up the great works.

Go on amazon and buy a rain sleeve. Then you won't have to worry about the camera gettin wet or the lens. Just have to worry about getting drops on the lens glass

Actually, he dug up more than one old thread to post his video. Smells like a spam method to me.

I have shot in rain quite alot this summer and the one thing i did to keep minimal water on my camera is to mount a large umbrella on a light stand and use it to block the rain with the umbrella facing the ground like you would use a regular umbrella. with a couple sandbags, you can drag it everywhere you go while staying under it.

Regardless of it being a 6 year old post, sometimes it's good to revive useful threads because this is something I was wondering and instead of posting a new thr ad I found this and have my answers.
