Shooting the night sky

I honestly want star trails... I find them pretty darn awesome. I'll be going out this weekend to a pretty rural place far from my town. (The place has a bunch of farmlands and all that jazz).

I'm pretty satisfied with the first picture I posted... If i took like 10 shots and merged them all together I think I'd get a pretty awesome photo.

I'll experiment with different settings when I'm out in the shadows.

I do have a remote shutter control so I'm not limited to 30 seconds.
