- Can others edit my Photos
- Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi All,
I've been taking photos for years (although I've just recently stepped up from a high-end point-and-shoot to a DSLR). Now that I'm more "serious" about my photography skills, I'd really like to work on my editing.
I've used GIMP for a while since it's a great program and...well, it's free. . I feel that I do alright (still very much a noob) with the levels and exposures and what-not, but I have been really looking into possibly buying Lightroom.
I'm going to try the trial version soon (although it will be version 5), but would anyone recommend Lightroom 3 or something a little older (for budget reasons)? Or, should I just give in and buy the new version?
Any opinions on Lightroom as a whole? What do you use it for, mainly? I shoot in RAW and would love a little more control over lighting and exposure with my landscape/wildlife photos.
Thanks again!
