You may want to try NASA's World Wind software. It is really easy to navigate and it covers more of the world than others do, and best of all, it's free . Although quite often it has some trouble connecting to the server and you are told to 'try back in 2 minutes'.

Here's my house (blue arrow) right off of downtown Lawrence, KS. In the lower left corner you can see a bit of the park that many of my photos are taken in.

EDIT: Actually, looking at this map some more, my house may be the one north of the house the arrow is pointing at? This pic was taken in 1992.
