yeah, judging from the distance to target, you're gonna need the highest focal length you can get. I think renting that kind of lens is the best idea because you simply can't afford a 800mm prime, and even if you do, whats the point of having it when it has very little use.

Rent the 800 f/5.6L, throw it on a crop sensor and be done with it .

Yep! I'd add a 1.4x II too.
