Simple photo but I like it

Does anyone else? I love hearing opinions as long as they're not mean! I took this at 500mm as the sun lit up a large tree trunk...it just seems pleasing to me for some reason.

The textures are lovely and the deep shadows add a mystery - it seems like a night shot, but the light is brighter than moonlight, so one wonders what is lighting the tree and adding that pattern at the top. But it is a daytime shot and that's sunlight, so then how are the shadows so deep? Where is this tree? It makes me wonder about what's going on around the tree.

Well it's a large tree in the back of the apartment....actually probably 3 trees growing together. The sun was low and lighting it up like that. The shadows are deep because I was probably spot metering on the sunlight itself. Here is a photo of the same tree taken at a different time. Thanks.

Haha! Love it. I have a few random "light" photos on my Instagram feed of trees light by the setting sun and by streetlights...So, yes, love it!
