Simply Shadows

I'm curious what people think of this composition. Good? Bad? What would you do differently?

back away; its too tight of a crop. You only see a few feet of what is probably a very large tree; and only a few more feet of its shadow. What to do differently? Maybe stand on the oposite side; and hold the camera vertically so you are photographing the length of the shadow; of course if the shadow was interrupted by something then it would not work so well. Keep shooting and composition will soon be a no brainer.

I agree that the crop is too close. When you first look at it you go...."Hmmm...what is this......a 3 legged elephant?" LOL!!

I think you could really get something good out of that....maybe if you took a photo looking down a row of trees, and their shadows to the left???
