to touch a stranger??

I was getting off the elevator at work today, sporting a hooded sweatshirt with the name of my favorite sports-ball team when i was assaulted by some crazy woman. "YOU ARE WEARING THE BEST SHIRT EVER!" She belched, as she started groping my arms and pulling at the fabric of my shirt...

I was flabbergasted. If I were to do that to a woman, it would be called assault.

My wife gets this all the time with her tattoos. Total strangers will come up to her and start shifting her clothing to see her ink. I've gotten pretty verbally aggessive with a couple folks that have done this. (and so has she, God bless her) The most fun was a man that, uninvited, unprovoked, and out of nowhere started shifting the collar of my Wife's shirt so he could better see the ink on her chest. He got an ear full.

My wife has really nice curly hair, and women (and some men) touch/pull her hair without asking.

Also, pretty much any pregnant woman gets the same treatment. Touch the belly without asking.

It's definitely not ok.

My wife threatened to stab someone who almost touched her belly when she was pregnant. Otherwise she was pretty good at avoiding the touch thing.

I can relate! I'm tattooed pretty much from neck to calves. Sometimes standing in a line somewhere, I'll feel someone pulling on my shirt trying to get a lot at one of them. If it's a woman no problem but if it's a guy I usually threaten to break his arm! That really bugs me.

I don't think this has ever happened to me. I've been told I have a very discernible, "Stay the f*** away from me" face and apparently, I am able to deploy this face very quickly, before any touching occurs, so people have a chance to realize their mistake before they make it.
