I would suggest shooting with your white balance set to "Cloudy" in almost all situations except indoors. This is a trick I learned from Bryan Peterson. Also, shoot everything in RAW + JPEG. That way you can go back and edit the white balance the way you think it looks best.

Nobody has suggested a polarizing filter. Wouldn't that help in this situation?

Not really.... the pix is already taken.

For future reference maybe? A CPL will make greens greener and blues blue-er. Plus it's fun to twist things. I wouldv'e said rotate.... but that's another story.

The CPL is only going to help if it is used correctly and at the proper angle to the sun.
