i know it's cliche but this is where i was in the park when the storm clouds started rolling in and turned the hazy mountains into something worth shooting.

Didn't AA shoot from more or less that same spot some 70-80 years ago?

After asking my question earlier about Ansel Adams having shot from this particular spot, I did a quick search online and found three different photos of his that showed these mountains.

This looks like a pretty iconic view, similar to other very popular places from which to photograph. It is indeed a great viewpoint.

he pretty much put the tetons on the map with his work. the overlook i stopped at has a few info boards about the images he made of the snake river.
