Snowboard contest soon

I am going to go to the snowboard worldcup that is happening in my town next week and I would like some tips to shoot it.

Ive got a XSI with the F/3.5-5.6 18-55mm and F/3.5-5.6 55-250mm.

The contest is a big air and another is the stair masters (rails )

theres quite a few snowboard threads on here with suggestions on how to improve on shots, i suggest you do a quick search

Get there early to test camera settings and get a good spot.

Meterring will be an issue as there will be lots of whites (snow, potentially sky,...)

Yep snow kinda messes with the meters.

Maybe I am wrong but try to expose more for the person and use polarized filter for sure.
