Snowy Owl, and more!

Raymond,

Peanuts is correct. #6 is a Common Redpoll. Although it is not very "common" in my area, I have only seen a few and that was several years ago. You have an excellent shot of him!

I always think photographing birds is like fishing. You often have to sit and wait. And you never know if you will catch anything worth keeping.

Again, #6 is great.

Bill

Thanks April, Chiller, and Bill.. appreciate your comments and help!

Bill, Thanks for the ID, I agree on the fishing analogy, and it's much more fun fishing when you have a buddy with you .. like Airic.

That walk across the feild to catch the Snowy was great fun!

hehehe.. too funny JM, I made a few bucks sending 3 files to a publisher in Cali, and sold a few prints up here.. but right now the budget is about -6000 $$ this past year of 2005.. but it's a start!

Thanks for the lift!

Beautiful photos raymond, 8 and 10 are my favorites. very inspirational.

Hey Ray the fans are right it is a Common Redpoll and a Pine Siskin. Both are frequent visitors in this area throughout the winter. There is another repoll that looks similar called a Hoary Redpoll but they seldom wander down to the Great Lakes region. As usual great stuff.
