I wanted my first HDR image to be necessary. That is, I wanted an image with a good reason to use the process and the bridge photo gave me a reason (I think).

The mid-afternoon sun was above and to the left of me so the underside of the bridge and top of the pylons were fairly dark. I wanted to subtly light the underside of the bridge and provide a little more vivid colour to the trees.

C&C on my levels and the subject please.

Thanks!

I think you did a good job processing it, picture doesn't do much for me.

Good HDR, boring photo. I can't even tell it's an HDR, which is perfect. But the photo does nothing for me.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I agree with you all that the subject is flat and boring. On this weekend's walkabout I'll try to find something more worthy.

Thanks again!

HDRs are usually tastier if you make it a point to include the texture of what you're shooting, because the nature of the HDR would make the texture way more defined and cool looking. For instance, if you had shot the side of the bridge, you would be able to (if processed correctly) see the texture of the concrete. Just a thought
