some bird shot - C&C please - learning animal shots

Saw this bird in the part today - I have no idea what kind, so please C&C - I am learning my animal shots - this is a step up from the squirrel

Well, first off, that's a robin.

Nice light on it. The out of focus branch or whatever at the bottom bothers me a lot. Otherwise, that's an okay shot.

I like the shot....I would have taken some of the brightness out of the background sky. Nice catch!!

Oh! So squirrels are like lower on the ladder now are they? The lofty Robin is it...? :lmao:

It's nice, if a little dark, but nice shot.

All I know about shooting birds is a tripod reeeeeeeeeally helps.
