Well, here are some of my macro photos.

Please keep in mind that I can not change lenses on my camera, the lens can do both telephoto and macro, focus down to 1cm even ! but I rarely do that. So it's a fair performance for a lens that is not dedicated to macro shooting.

Nice. Like you I find my compact without interchangeable lenses very versatile.
