Ehhh, ummm, hmmm....in that order. These are really weak dude.

Agreed


1) Too dark, out of focus, and nothing in the picture is particularly of interest
2) Don't like how it's focused. I think you're headed in the right direction with this one.. but I don't like that only 5% of the image is focused.. would have preferred to see more of the book. Maybe throw a candle in there or something.
3) The best out of the three, but still needs some work. The background is either too out of focus, or there's not enough DOF. Right now it's sort of in limbo and looks like it's accidentally out of focus. However, I do like the clock and the building in the background. Done differently, I think that could make for a great shot.

i dont mean to be an asshole here, but i think this is pretty common.
newer site members, and newer photogs in general will give more pleasant "pat on the back" C&C.

im with derrel on these, man.
the 2nd one is the best of the 3, and has a nice DOF, but like tyler implied (i think), it might be nice to read more of the words, and keep the BG blurred out.

the other 2 are mediocre. the first is soft and underexposed and the 3rd seems like little thought went into composition.

keep shooting man. i see less and less photoshop experimenting going on with your stuff, and i think thats great. :thumbup:

Nah I was being straight facetious bro. I really would be spacing out at the words if I were attending a Christian school. But it still doesn't really make for a compelling shot to most people, which I can understand (most people aren't atheists), as all of the lyrics are out of focus.
