You dropped some blotter acid and went out and shot, right?

I dunno..maybe a bit of free-lensing? Holding your lens in front of the camera body, deliberately cropping the person off awkwardly, and leaving a ton of top space? Kind of going for an anti-photo photo?

Not sure Robin. It would be a nice shot for his family etc or anyone having an emotional attachment but if I was flicking through photos it would not stop me in my tracks. The dof is nice

I don't care for the OOF arms, and the cut-off feet and fingers... but that is a personal preference. Almost looks like fake blur... plus he barely takes up a 1/6 of the image.

Derrel, you are on the right track, except if I had used an EOS mount lens, it would be mostly blurry because the rear element will be too far. I used an olympus OM-System Zuiko 50mm 1.8. The mount is smaller so I can put it in inside more. If I didnt shift or tilt it, I could actually take a pretty nice 50mm shot.

Zuiko 50mm 1.8 is something I've used on my nex and it's a nice quite little lens. Similar lens but perhaps better is the Hexanon 50mm 1.7

I seem to be in the minority, but I like it. I find it refreshingly different and creative.

I love me an Olympus Zuiko lens, too
