Sometimes I think I'm brain-dead!

Cleaning my gear tonight, and wanted to see what was on the memory cards. So I pushed the Preview button, and got a black screen.

Hmm. Somethings wrong here. Turn camera off and back on, press the Preview button. Black screen again.

Try it a second time, same results.

OK, so what am I doing wrong? I pick up my second body, turn it on and press the Preview button. I see an image. No problem.

I go back to the first body and try it again. Black screen.

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!!!!! My camera is screwed up! Gonna have to send it in.
















Oh, wait. I accidently pressed the shutter button with the lens cap on. I'm seeing a black screen because.......... it's a photo........... of......... a black lens cap .....................

Don't ever get old, people. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

And if we're talking about photography-related dumbass moves...I developed a roll of film last weekend. I've got a two-roll tank, but I was only developing one so I only poured in developer for one roll, though I ended up putting more than enough fixer. Fast forward to pulling the reel out....aaaaand, I've got a strip that is developed on a thin line along the bottom and clear up until a thin line on the top.

What the hell, I thought. Then it hit me. I had the film on the top reel.

Where's the facepalm smiley?
