sony 18-135mm vs 18-250mm lens

Hi everyone,
i am new to this forum. My question is, what is the difference in the zoom between 18-135mm vs 18-250mm. Is there a big difference from 135mm to 250mm interms of distance?


I am also looking to buy a lens for low light city skyline photography. i have in mind the 50mm f1.8-f22. Also i have seen the 35mm f1.8-f22.
Can someone help me to decide which of these lenses should i get.

The difference is 115 mm and I would not say there is a lot of difference in terms of distance.
Also virtually all superzoom lenses (10x+ zoom range - 18-250 mm is 13.9x) have image quality issues of one kind or another.
The problem is to many design compromises have to be made to make a realy good 10x+ zoom range lens.
Most superzoom lenses, as far as performance, are only compared to other superzoom lenses because of the design compromises they all share.

For a city skyline I would want a focal length of about 20 - 24 mm. Some would want an even shorter focal length.
