No, but seriously....on this new Sony with the MASSIVE 35mm f/2 lens....no focusing distances visible, so...no pre-focusing capability....no DOF scale, so no zone focusing, no "answers ahead of time"...and the oversized lens makes this permanently mounted lens one hell of a lot bigger than it needs to be. Plus....the ONLY lens/shooting information provided at a visual glance is 1/3 stop aperture values....my God....the MOST-critical thing, the focus distance and the depth of field, are completely absent. But then again--this is a camera designed by Japanese consumer electronics engineers, and has absolutely no relation to the camera industry. Sony has a long and proud history of releasing crap products and not making a profit for seven years in a row. So, we know they are following in their tradition!

But a plus point the lens is fantastic

You mean because the lens is as tall as the camera? Because the lens is so MASSIVE? Or because the lens is significantly deeper than the entire camera is front to back? Exactly...the lens is hugely, hugely out of proportion for a 35mm f/2 FIXED lens! I agree; the initial promo image showing the sensor as seen from the front of the body gave me the mental first impression that this was an interchangeable lens camera...but it's not. Nope. No compact 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens that measures 7/8 inch long for this puppy! Users gonna be stuck with that big, honking lens on that tiny body. It's a SONY!

THe big thing is though...they were able to make a low-cost body and fixed lens and slap their own 42MP sensor into it, and have slapped a $3,300 price tag on it, which makes a LOT of profit to offset their small sales volume, and gets the 42MP sensors out in the world. WE DO KNOW already that the 42MP Sony sensor is astoundingly good, far better than the Canon 50MP in terms of ISO pushing and noise. Last week I saw the LuLa Canon-Nikon-Sony 50-36-42 MP side-by-side comparison video which is about 24 minutes in length; the Sony 42MP sensor is very,very,very good in the A7r Mark II.

Nope only Nikon, To its DSLR Canon only uses Canon sensors which has a bit of an older basic design.

There is nothing wrong with Sony sensor technology, the issue is that Sony doesnt know how to make that great technology excell. Nikon pretty reliably gets substantly better results with the exact same sensors.
