Sony W120 camera

I'm a newbie here so I hope this is the right forum ... if not please let me know what's the problem.
I just bot a new Sony W120 camera and like it in every way EXCEPT it has an automatic 3 minute power off function. Is there any way I can increase that time limit? I am taking sports pictures and expect that to be a big pain! I do hope someone can help me but I'm afraid it can't be done. Thanks.
