try purchasing a tripod. some of these came out pretty cool. focusing needs a bit of adjusting, unless it was what you were aiming for.

Firework photography is something one would follow with enthusiasm; it involves many challenges like timing, time lapse, aperture value etc....you have much scope of experimentation and going creative.. these images are not bad, but you can excel with more experimentation

Actually this could just as well be sparks from a saw or something like that.
The top 2 pictures look surprisingly much like a blade to me.

Clever! Needs some work to get it right; maybe a tripod and a remote shutter release to shoot with and the lighter held in a vice would work?
