It's been a while since I last posted. Just haven't gotten out much. The heat has been overbearing here in Toronto and truth be told I've been going through a bout of depression. But I did get out the last two weekends. Here are a couple of shots from those outing. Feel free to knock them around, as you see fit. I suspect some might ask about the portraits. Both girls I met at a bar during an outing by simply approaching them and asking to shoot them. The first one I'm totally crazy about.

Question: If you had to choose one for a photography book, which would it be? I ask because I'm in the process of putting together my first book. Should be out by the fall.

I think that my favorites are 8, 2, 7 in that order descending.
Really all very nice.
I do think that each of them needs a little more PPing.
For 2,7 try to reign in the highlights to get some texture and lighten up the darks n 2.
#8 is really my favorite but I would knock down teh brightness in the lower panel quite a bit to make it easier to see the top and bottom at one glance. - really nice, imo.

The first one I'm totally crazy about.

The girl or the shot? I find the lighting on her nose makes it look disproportionately large.

Several shots (3,4,7,8) remind me of the chaos of the city & why I avoid it as much as possible. However, they are good descriptors.

Number 7 I really like but I grew up in an area like that and my friends were into punk culture. Number 4 I am drown to the womans top instead of the girl behind the counter.

I love the two portraits, great use of (what appears to be) natural window light.

Very good portraits but I stay with #7, it makes me wonder and try to guess what every person was probably thinking.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated.
Ron: I was talking about the girl more than the shot. ;)

I think I would crop the bus shot to be honest with you and just show the windows. I find myself looking at the lower portion.

I see what you mean. For me it would lose something. I was attracted to the contrast between young, vibrant, happy and old, frail, indifferent. Thanks for your thought, though.
