Could be the little 'clamp' that holds the shoe of the flash. :scratch:

A Stroboframe is an adjustable frame that attaches to the bottom of camera body, allowing you to raise the flash off of the camera hotshoe.

It keeps a a speedlight mounted above the camera and on the lens axis. It can be flipped when the camera is rotated into the portrait orientation so the speedlight is still above and on the lens axis.

The speedlight usually needs to be connected to the camera with a cord.

Surprisingly, I don't find any YouTube video of the bracket in action.
