They may be better, but it's also the difference of hundreds of dollars. Me personally, I would rather pay $50 less and just put the stands on a milkcrate to get better height. I'm verrrrry cheap lol.

That equipment from Adorama I just listed can be had for under $200... depending on what umbrellas you pick out. And what is cheaper.. $200 for a set that will last many, many years and is good for almost anywhere...

or

a really cheap set that will probably not last as long, nor is as versatile?

The set KMH listed from Amazon would be your best bet for inexpensive.. the cheap ones I listed are the least expensive, but it depends on what you are going to do with them.

you can get some cheap umbrella mounts to go on them for like $6-8ea and then some shoot through umbrellas for ~$12-15ea.
