Subsistence for Santa and the Reindeer

Our little tradition. Just tucked the kids into bed, and this was their last memory before bed-sugar cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. A little employ'n of the rule of thirds, and I don't think I got a bad shot. How did I do?

We opened presents with half of the family last night on Christmas Eve. Here is a pic I snapped before we all sat down to open presents.

Now we're off to the other half of the family's house to open more presents... hopefully more pics will follow.

No, that baby is only a 20-gallon. I'd like a bigger one, but my wife couldn't care less about it, so I don't want it to be any more intrusive in the living room.. It was all I could do to get her to give up that space for my hobby.

if i read that correctly... suBsistence is the ACT of maintaining life... however suStenance is what you use to keep you alive (food)

Chris, the word was a cut and paste of the person correcting me.... That's part of the lesson and free Christmas present. I was not only corrected incorrectly, twice now, the word offered as a correction was spelled wrong. Get it?

My definition of subsistence was a cut and paste from Merriam Webster dictionary, not my own words, so evidently either is appropriate.

The word is valid in this instance.. Chalk it up to a learning experience. Although source can be used as a verb, in this case, where there is the letter a before it, it is being used as a noun. So carrots and cookies are the source in this case of subsistence.

And that's my Christmas present? You're cheap!

Looks like a nice looking setup. Maybe one day when she is away, you can slip in a bigger one and see if she notices :shock:
