Suggestion - Critique generating ring site feature

Bitter, I fully agree that not enough people look at others work or attempt to operate outside of their own comfort zones. Indeed part of this concept is helping to approach that very topic. Because if you get critique chances are you'll have to give it back to the person that commented and, as a result, you might well end up presented with photos that you would otherwise not pay any attention to what so ever.


In the end its a method built around the idea of encouraging critique on the site, I agree that the groups concept would be neat, but - we tried that. We tried it in a big way when they first appeared and they all died very fast. Sadly VB forums currently puts groups in the background far too much and the nature of them makes them even more clique like. So they fast ended up dead compared to the rest of the forums (and its not a TPF thing, groups are dead on all the forums I've seen with the exception of one or two roleplaying forums and sites which use their own software to make groups more visible and open - where upon most users end up questioning the purpose of a group which is basically just a forum subsection).
