From the moment I have picked up my Nikon D90 for the last 1 month , no evening has been same boring after coming home from all day's work. Instead everyday I just can't wait to go back home and shoot something in order to learn more and more daily. Anyways, here's a sunset pic I took outside my house.. I know its odd to take a sunset in vertical manner but was just experimenting with the looks.. :D C& C are welcome.

I think it needs a more definative subject- a horizon or more of one of the trees. What am I looking at in this picture? what did you want us to see in it? was it the colors that caught your eye? the texture of the clouds? the silhouette of the trees? I don't see anything.

I can see this working with several interior design styles hanging as a wall panel though. It reminds me of those japanese nature paintings like you see here:

I actually like that composition. Kinda cool. I wonder if silhouetting the trees would be better than leaving them as they are. To me it might add more focus to the colors of the sky, as the trees are not important other than breaking up the sky in a cool manner...

Kinda like this...I dunno. I kinda like it...some may not. *shrugs*

I burned and dodged a bit in the clouds to give them a little ooomph.

That little bit of sky at the bottom could almost be a river or some land or something for a mock horizon..I guess it's all in how you see it or want to see it...the longer you look at it, you see all kinds of things.

I would love to see that blown up like huge. I think it would be very effective poster size.
