Tamron 70 - 200mm f/2.8 DI LD (IF) Macro

Hello,

was wondering if anyone tried or have this lens yet? Went to B&H but didn't have it in store for me to try it on. Wanted to know how this compare to sigma's 70-200mm f/2.8 II DG Macro HSM & 70-200mm f/2.8 DG Macro HSM.
which I haven't tried either.

just in case , I'm using it on 5D. Any comments will do. thanks in advance!!

The lack of a fast AF motor scares me on a lens like that. I have the Sigma 70-200 w/ HSM and love it.

Agree... tamron should do something about their AF motors! The have great optics, but AF noise and speed mostly is quite bad!

so this one is "suppose" to have a fast AF. Just wanted to check it out since I haven't seen it anywhere, but it's available.
