Ooo, neat! I really like it! Like the conversion, like the composition, and love the concept. It's almost like inception for photography.. My only thoughts would be two fold; the photog looks a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit posed (maybe if his other hand was up, like he was directing the crowd to pose, or manipulating the camera with both hands, IDK..), and my eye keeps wishing there were a tad more DOF. With the team so out of focus, I feel like the photog is the only subject, which makes me feel like the story of what he's doing fade a bit. But, that's only my opinion, and perhaps your intent was to put most of the focus on the photog and his task.

This was an interesting situation.
I have taken pictures of this team for the last season (my grandson is one the team).
They wanted to have a 'team' picture and sell them to raise money (this is in the 2nd wealthy county in the US - median income 108k) and the photographer-dad was fairly uptight about standing and stance just so.
(I guess he felt his credibility was on the line.)
I stood behind him and grabbed a few - really wanting his rigidity to be the center of the image.
He asked me to stop taking pictures because I was being disruptive.

Looks like you got the last laugh, then - this image is terrific! Definitely shows the rigidity of this photographer: he has a somewhat military stance here. Besides, for all the apparent obsessing over the kids' positions, he did a poor job with the coaches in the back - they all need to take a half-step or so to the left. Guess he would have called me disruptive, too, if I'd mentioned it.
