Did you buy the optional lens shade for it? It needs a lens shade pretty badly when shot toward light sources. But then, the second shot shows that pretty well, so you probably know about the flare issue.

Yeah derrel, this was shot when the sun was pretty much level. I did have the hood on. Probably better off taking it off in that scenario so the flare is more even. Yes it came with a shade.
