I climbed an 8ft ladder for this shot....for me that was a big deal HA! The things we will conquer for photography :p

I am tempted to ask something about an 8' ladder and topography in Texas, but I won't :biggrin-93:. This is a very nice image :thumbyo:. If it was mine, I might be tempted to bring up the oranges and reds up a bit with an increase in Vibrance or Contrast, but that is a personal thing.

Thank you!!! Well you see I live in the "hill country", and there are so many oak trees that its hard to get a view above them! We have these huge shipping containers that I climbed up on them to get this. I bet increasing the vibrance would really make the color pop but I was trying to keep it as true to life as I could :)

Nice shot. Great to see something from the hill country.

Thanks for the disclosure. It is always nice to learn about the perspective of what the photographer endured to get an image. :biggrin-93:

As far as the "vibrance boost" is concerned, I mentioned that as something I would try, but then you as the artist have to do what you feel is appropriate for your image - no problem - it is your image and I am a firm believer in letting the artist interpret what he sees in his own way.

Thank you! Are you from the area too?

Originally from Houston, but had friends in Round Rock that went to school with me at Texas Tech. Houston and Lubbock are too flat so it was always nice to visit and take pictures anywhere in the hill country.
