I got these while at our mountain house in Blowing Rock last weekend. Most of the time it was pretty gloomy. I'm hoping to get some better shots this weekend.

All non mountain pictures were taken at Bass Lake outside of Blowing Rock about 5 mountain miles from our mountain house.

Gorgeous. I really like fall colors on overcast days; they seem accentuated.

Thanks everyone. I've gone to the mountain house every weekend this month waiting for them to change. I'm hoping they don't all fall off by the time I get there Saturday.

Only bad thing about this time of year is the tourist. They are all over the place in Blowing Rock, and not a one of them knows how to drive in the mountains.
